Ah! Fall colors in da U.P.

This is our kitchen view looking south on October 10th, 2004. The whitish strip at the lower right is the bridge crossing the trout stream. Temperature is in the upper 60s. A beautiful day.

The wind is calm, perfect for reinstalling my wind turbine. It was down (first time in 3 years) for most of the summer to be upgraded to ensure at least 5 more years of troublefree service.

Not having it for the summer was not a huge concern since our solar panels are our primary summer power source but now the days are getting shorter. The wind turbine is becoming increasingly necessary for our electrical power.
