Simonetta ARE 110 Turbine Installation / DSCN5068 Steve Waller 7/4/2006 This pivot rod is what allows the tail to move relative to the turbine blades. It is pure simplicity. If the wind gets too strong (exceeds 25 MPH) the turbine blades automatically begin to turn parallel to the tail shaft. The unit does not have to be shut off in high winds.
