Simonetta ARE 110 Turbine Installation / BoS1 Steve Waller 7/4/2006 This "Voltage Clamp" box receives the 250-450 VAC from the wind turbine, converts it to DC, and regulates the turbine's speed. The three indicator lamps indicate the status of the turbine. The emergency stop buutton on the bottom is used to apply an electrical brake to the turbine that stops the blades from turning, even when the wind is blowing, such as when the turbine is being worked on.
